Facial Acupuncture is contraindicated (not advised) in the following conidtions: Hemophilia Being on blood-thinning medications Uncontrolled hypertension Uncontrolled diabetes Within 6 months of cosmetic surgery or botox Within 3 weeks of laser resurfacing Within 2 weeks of microdermabrasion or chemical peels Sunburn Migraines (this must first be treated and under control, regular acupuncture treatments can help) Cold or Flu Pregnancy During a herpes outbreak During an acute allergic reaction Chronic Immune Deficiency conditions Cushing's syndrome Addison's disease Facial Acupuncture may not be advised in the above scenarios.
