What is Facial Acupuncture?Facial acupuncture is the use of sterile, single use, acupuncture needles in order to reduce visible signs of aging.

Is Facial Acupuncture like a 'face lift', botox, or other cosmetic procedure?"No. Facial Acupuncture is not analogous to a face lift or botox. A face lift is a surgical procedure and botox is an injection of a neurotoxin in order to temporarily paralyze muscles. Facial Acupuncture is a series of treatments that can increase facial tone, decrease puffiness around the eyes, increase firmness in sagging skin, flesh out sunken areas, and enhance radiance and glow of complexion. Facial Acupuncture is wholistic. Needles are inserted in the face and the body and addresses health and wellness on mulitple levels.

Who should not receive Facial Acupuncture?Facial Acupuncture is contraindicated (not advised) in the following conidtions: Hemophilia Being on blood-thinning medications Uncontrolled hypertension Uncontrolled diabetes Within 6 months of cosmetic surgery or botox Within 3 weeks of laser resurfacing Within 2 weeks of microdermabrasion or chemical peels Sunburn Migraines (this must first be treated and under control, regular acupuncture treatments can help) Cold or Flu Pregnancy During a herpes outbreak During an acute allergic reaction Chronic Immune Deficiency conditions Cushing's syndrome Addison's disease Facial Acupuncture may not be advised in the above scenarios. What is the standard course for Facial Acupuncture treatment?Facial Acupuncture is a set of treatments. 12-15 treatments is usually recommended with some people needing 20. Treatments can be once or twice a week and last one hour. For long-lasting results monthly maintenance treatments are recommended. Please contact us for pricing.
