Acupuncture and Yoga: Working Together for Better Health

Acupuncture and yoga compliment each other very well. They are mutually beneficial. Acupuncture will help deepen your yoga practice and yoga will help strengthen your acupuncture treatments.

Improve Circulation

Both acupuncture and yoga are based on Asian philosophies that emphasize the movement of energy for optimal health. Illness occurs when there is stagnation. Acupuncture uses needles to release stagnation and improve circulation of blood and other body fluids. Yoga uses asanas, poses, to align the body in a way that encourages proper circulation and movement.

Movement is Important

If you are looking for ways to take your yoga practice to the next level, try acupuncture. I encourage my patients to perform some kind of movement exercise in addition to acupuncture in order to speed the healing process. Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong are great options that increase circulation and align the body.

Acupuncture can help with any pain or discomfort you may be feeling in your body

Acupuncture can also,

  • Calm your mind and relieve stress and anxiety
